Morning Star

The first light of dawn was always a welcome sight for the last survivors. The bandit gangs roamed mostly at night, so having made it through the darkness meant a break from running, a breath of fresh air. Natina made the gesture of the old ones and greeted the sun in the same way she had done, ever since her mom showed her the ritual so many years ago. Today was a good day she though to herself, and started the long walk down, towards the ruins of the city.
